Great place for exploring Hakone. Clean place with exceptionally pleasant staff and magnificent view of the clear and starry sky. Stunning and easy location in the Hakone-Yumoto area, and 10 minute walk from an open - air museum. Exceptionally comfortable bed, nice bathroom and a safe, TV set and a fridge in the room...
Awful staff!

Room was big and clean. We had breakfast and dinner on site, both were tasty and included Japanese fish and pork dishes. The hotel is located near a train station and is easy to find. In the bathroom, there were little snacks and drinks.
The staff was not very attentive, we had to wait a long time for check-in and there was no help with our bags. The onsen was not very clean and the water temperature was not consistent.

I recently had a wonderful stay at a charming hotel nestled amidst the beautiful mountains. The value for money was excellent, especially considering the stunning mountain views from the rooms. The attention to detail was evident in the well-appointed rooms with a nice tea set and the option to wear traditional yukuta clothes. Additionally, the breakfast, which included a unique dish with fish larvae, was a delightful culinary experience.
I found my stay at this hotel to be satisfactory.

We really felt like we got a great value for our money at Lalaca. The room was spacious and had a wonderful traditional Japanese feel. The location was quiet and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff treated us with genuine kindness and provided attentive service throughout our stay.
Hotel breakfast could have been improved by offering a wider variety of options. It would have been nice to have a Western breakfast choice for those who may not be accustomed to or prefer traditional Japanese breakfast.

The Japanese-style food was great, especially the presentation. The communal onsens were enjoyable, especially the outdoor pools. The hotel was conveniently located, just a short walk from the train station and easy to find. The private onsen was a nice touch for evening relaxation.
The blinds in the room didn't block out the early morning light, which made it difficult to stay asleep. the staff could have been clearer on how to order coffee.
